The Aviation Magazine No. 83 : Día de la Hispanidad

Día de la Hispanidad commemorates the discovery of America by Cristobal Colón (Columbus) on 12 October 1492. This national holiday is celebrated throughout the country with special activities such as parades and bullfights. In the Spanish capital Madrid a large military parade takes place which starts in Plaza de Cuzco and goes along Paseo de Castellana (next to Madrid’s football stadium) towards Plaza San Juan de la Cruz. Next to the parade on the ground there is also large flyby which contains formation of helicopters, aircraft and fighter jets. For this flyby Lowpass Aviation was welcome at the air bases Getafe, Cuatro Vientos and Torrejon.
