Hyakuri Air Base is the closest fighter base to Tokyo. It was home to 7 Kokudan (Air Wing), consisting of two squadrons flying the F-4 Phantom: 302 and 501 Hikotai. 305 Hikotai was stationed at Hyakuri with F-15(D)J Eagles.

Naval Air Facility Atsugi / Atsugi Air Base is a joint Japan-US naval air base located in the cities of Yamato and Ayase.  It is the largest United States Navy (USN) air base in the Pacific Ocean and houses the squadrons of Carrier Air Wing Five (CVW-5), which deploys with the American aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan.
The Japanes Maritime Self-Defense Force is operating out of Atsugi, with 4 Kokugun and 31 Kokugun (Fleet Air Wing), flying P-3 Orions, P-1s and SH-60s. Furthermore Atsugi is home of the NIPPI Aircraft Maintenance Division, responisble for P-3 overhaul.
